I always remember that fateful day,

we used to run and jump and play.
But days went on and on,

and suddenly one day you were gone.

Memories flood my mind,

somedays I think I may be blind.
I hope to see you again too,

but I don’t know if that will do.

It hurt me so bad to see you leave,

now people tell me not to grieve.
When you lose someone you love,

you may see a dove.

A dove represents your mind,

that’s why mine is so kind.
Love never ends,

but it may bend.

Love is very strong,

not before long it may be gone.
He was there beside me,

I wish he was there to see.

He will always be in my mind,

which is very kind.
He may be gone now,

I know he will allow.

He would allow me to be happy,

because he loved me when I was sappy.
Love never fails,

it always prevails.

I wish I could see his face once more,

but I do adore,

he was my man.

He lies in the ground,

where I go around,

to watch our old memories.

He was my man,

I was his fan.

He loved me and I loved him.

I think about him everyday,
how we used to run and jump and play!
