Obstacles

It seems so close
But I know it's not
Clouds
Wind
Rain
All obstacles I must overcome
To see the sun's shining rays
Feel it's warmth on my face
I wish it was visible all the time
Encasing me in a warm hug
Surrounding me with safety
Away from the darkness
But I know
Thundering rain
Bitter cold
And dark clouds
Are what make me
Love it all the more
