The Girl in the Corner
There's a girl in the corner
Everyone tries to ignore
The tears she spills so easily
Are nothing but humor for all
She sits in silence
All alone and helpless
She's the girl who has a broken home
Who's made fun of daily in the hall
Who's lost everyone close to her
And has lost herself in between
People who are brave to try friendship
Saw her pain and ran away
Now she stands before everyone
Accepting her diploma
Her head held high
As she waved good-bye
As she blessed the broken road
That lead her to her dreams.
