It’s 6 I the morning,
The sun hasn’t even come out yet.
My alarm clock goes off,
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
My dog jumps up on my bed.
YIP! YIP! YIP!
It’s unnatural to be up before the sun.
I groan.

It’s Monday.
I think to myself,
“why am I so tired”
My brain replies,
“you stayed up and did all the
homework you should have done
during the weekend.”
Right.
I did some work.
I will reward myself by
Sleeping in.
I really only have to get dressed,
Brush my teeth,
And smear on some cover-up and mascara…

Half an hour later, my mum
Comes in, “you leave in 25 minutes,
Abby”
I slept in too long.
I roll out of bed onto the
Unwelcoming floor,
And face the day.
