Legacy
Some stories are told to entertain us
Some are told to scare us
To teach us a lesson
But somewhere along the line
Scary stories became a form of entertainment
And the lesson was lost
The
Boy
Who
Cries
Wolf
Will
Get
No
Help
When
He
Really
Needs
It
They say we’re careless people
And we won’t change our ways until it’s too late
But still we laugh and do nothing to prove them wrong
Comforted by the illusion of time
Not caring about the legacy we will leave our children
We will not change
Not yet
We have been warned.
