Swimmer

All of my friends want to go to the beach
But I can’t swim
I’m at the beach with my friends
But I can’t swim
Sun tan for a little bit, talk, and eat ice cream
We are going into the water
But I can’t swim
We go in until it’s up to our armpits and I’m relieved because,
I can’t swim
The water is cold, piercing at my skin
My friends want to swim out into the “deep end”
But I can’t swim
