Room by room I wander slowly
Memory by memory I remember fully
Souls like wallpaper, I can see you
Make sure you know that I am here too
Furniture stuck in still photos
Smell of past hangs quite low
Nothing here will dare move
But I am here- My life is proof
The touch of stiff shirts holds my hands
Beauty of what was still stands
I walk away back into the now
Essence of a lonely spouse
