The Most Important Thing

This thing is very rare
It comes along once in a lifetime
But if you pay close attention,
The friendship is beyond prime
Secrets and promises you’ll always keep
Never wanting to be apart
The connection only grows more deep
Others have come and go but they never stay
Knowing that soon, they’d be pushed away
Sharing anything and everything is sometimes hard
But knowing the reward is far beyond barred
Without him, my days are too dim
He’s my best friend
I don’t know what I would do without him
