I can't remember

I can't remember
Everything we did
I used to see you
Without any pictures
But it seems that
Everything we did seemed forgotten
There were so many memories
But they seem so distant

I can't remember
Every distinct detail
When I could just sit here
And see me and you
I hear them speak about you
But I never know what's the truth
Do I remember you
Or is it just their words to help me remember

I can't remember
These good memories of you and me
And those that I know
Don't play like movies to me
They are just thoughts
That grow distant in my head
All that was
Is no more
As time goes on
My life flys by
And I seem to forget
A little here and there
Of you and me

And I can't remember
And I wish I could
I wish I could remember even the worst
Because a bad one is better than none
And just remembering you
Let's me see you
 Without any pictures
And full movies
That play on repeat

Just let everyone know
To just let me be on my own
I can't remember
And you just make me feel worse
And maybe I'll remember
Only the good memories
Of you and me tomorrow

I can't remember
But sooner or later
You'll come back
And you and me
We'll be a team
And remember all there is to know
But for now
Just let it be
That's all we can do
Because I just can't remember

Hmm. Interesting and musing, did you draft this? It seems a little bit unedited. But it does have raw emotion, and that's good.
