“Daddy?”
“What's up?”
“Can you read me something tonight?”
And so you picked up JK Rowling
To read me 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone'
“Daddy?”
“Yes?”
“Am I too old for you to read to me?”
And without a word you found Eric Carle on my messy bookshelf
To read to the fourteen-year old me 'The Hungry Caterpillar'.
