Minerva warned to think it through,
Aphrodite said to flaunt it;
Anansi itched to weave the tale,
Setesh told me he’d haunt it.
The Fates glanced at their threads and frowned,
Ba’al shrugged then went to war;
Anubis told me to be wary,
As Melusina mourned.
Oya fumed and fueled a storm,
Bess laughed with childish glee;
Yu kept silent, ever thoughtful,
While Prometheus did scheme.
I confronted Fenrir
And he laughed at me:
“The gods are jealous, little mortal;
They’ve always envied thee.”

The author's comments:
I created this poem after I began to have a fascination with mythology. The names listed here are all from various mythologies.

This is really good. I usually don't like free-verse poems but this one is certainly the exeption. Nice one!
