Shattered Reflections
As the lonely hums blare
Only one stares
It’s him
All of those things he didn’t do, regretted
Yet I can’t see where he is headed
It’s dim
The darkness spills on top of street signs
On a road filled with glass and land mines
It’s sin
With each glass shattering step his road crumbles behind him
As he looks down at his reflection only to be reminded
It’s him
Wishing for the day he can rest his lies
And then a light seems to catch his eyes
It’s dim
He runs fast as the light succumbs
Darkness, symbolizing the night has won
It’s sin
