I'll Never Understand

I don't understand







Why evil taste so scrumptious.







Why kid's instinct is to lie.











But most of all,







Why I cry, and they all laugh.







Why hearts are turned into chew toys..







Why people rather give labels than give hugs...












What I do understand , though,







Is why we must cling to hope







Why we must practice what we preach,







And why we all just need a little compassion....








Yet, with all these logical answers,







And religious guides,







I don't think I'll ever truly understand.
