When God Cries

When God looks down upon the world
He sees the greed, the violence
The pain, the sadness
And He cries
For us
We know His tears
As rain
Now, don’t think of rain as a sad thing
A thing to dread, a thing to hate
Don’t think that if God is crying
What hope do we have?
Think of it as a miracle
His tears grant us a new beginning
A way to start fresh
A way to wash away the pain
A way to take the time to think
About what we have done
And what we will do
Some people hide from it
Cancel their plans and shut their doors
But others realize this gift He gives us
They look up at the crying sky
And dance in its tears
