Cold Autumn Day

These bald trees surround me,
Their leaves on the ground.
The wind blows all around
And sticks are falling down.
I walk through the woods
And down the dirt road,
Just for the sake of it
I walk for miles in the cold.
I breathe in the autumn air
And recognize that smell,
The sweet aroma of fall
Satisfies my senses.
I walk to my back yard
And quickly light a fire,
For that one of a kind warmth
On a cold autumn day.
