Your Perfect Little Princess

Why don't you understand that I'm not your perfect little princess anymore?
I'm not that little girl who would dress up and put on your makeup any more.
That I have my own now.
That I'm not that perfect little princess who wants to be just like you.
That I have different dreams now.
That I'm not that perfect little princess who knows exactly what to say anymore.
That I'm speechless sometimes and say the wrong things.
That I'm not that perfect little princess who use to be
always right next to you.
That I like the seclusion of my room.
That I'm not your perfect little princess anymore.
I never was...

I adore the passion in this poem! The repitition really drives the point, though I'd advise you change it up a little bit to keep your audience's interest. The idea behind this poem is solid, and I wonder if you couldn't deal with it a little more subtly-- wouldn't it be great if told as a narrative? All in all, beautiful work.

Wow I never thought about writing it as a narritive, thats a great idea! Maybe I will later.
