Stained by blood,
A vivid red.
Such a sorrowful color.
Isolated because of its thorns.

Beauty that is cherished.
As each petal withers away,
It cries out for attention.
Out of hope.

By Death's scythe,
A life shortened.
So fragile at sight.
Yet so amazingly tough.

A stained life,
Afraid of the Dark Angel.
Look out my love.
For death beware.
