Be my fork in the road,
Separate my choices
And spare me guidance
And outlook
Blindfold me and spin me around
Disintegrate me in your gaze
I’m gone

I could not count on two hands
The amount of times
You’ve made me feel pathetic
Insignificant
Lonely and left-out
I know why the caged bird sings
Misery needs company

Tell me, honestly
But spare me this
Your wrath
Am I important to you?
Why do I feel like this?
Our discordance would be a glutton for punishment
But I’m still here

Break me
Ignore me
Condescension
Is a lethal weapon
But I would do anything for you

Tell me what to do
Be my fork in the road
Be the lights that guide me home
The hope that ignites my bones
Tell me a lie
Tell me I’ll be fine
