Darkness,
it has so many things,
lurking in it.
But when there is darkness,
You always know light is near.
Darkness,
its one of our biggest fears.
Darkness,
It is always close by.
Darkness,
It drowns out light.
Darkness,
Is the nights,
tortured light.

I wrote this when I was little. I remember I was scared of the dark so I decided to write a poem about darkness to make myself feel better. This is what I came up with
