Never forget to smile.

the rain trickles down
the peaceful sound of drip, drip, drip
as waves of water lay down last

the rain slashes down
the merciless sound of boom, boom
as forks of lightning pierce the sky

The author's comments:
It was raining hard. I could hear the pitter-patter on the glass skylight. I looked up and thought, "I like rain sometimes. But other times, like this, its so dreary." So I decided to write a poem on rain.

"...If the Thames that ran beside them...recalled a night where the moon shone as brightly as a shilling on the same boy and girl... and thought to themselves, 'at last, the wheel comes full circle,' they kept their silence."

Very cool! Very interesting! I liked this so much I could probably read an entire book with this poem written until its more like a novel than a poem! Awesome Job!

"There’s no such thing as true love, just spurts of insanity—falling over and over again, thinking that won’t happen to me"

I loved how you described things how others would just put it simply "The lightening was bright". You put so much more feeling into it. And thats what I truly believe is the difference between good and bad writing. Good work!

Cool. Very reminescent of rain. Also, soothing, even with the thunder and lightning.
