too late

I thought you were someone you weren't.
You knew me for someone I'm not.
You were in love with me.
I wasn't so sure about you,
until it was too late.
You saw the real me,
and I realized who you really were.
I fell for someone moments too late.
And someone let go of me a moment too early.
