Ebbing Clockhands

I may be sending messages
Of the mixed variety, but
Minutes fixed and slipping
Away is the cause of much anxiety-
Bear with me for I have a long road ahead,
I wear no crosses or armor but
Instead I have a heart and a mind;
Time may intimidate but within
I can always find solace
That each moment takes away
The burden of mistakes;
It may replace the aches with new
Ones but I will learn to take the
Pain of time with thanks
For one day it will save me.
