The Day You Left
You walked away from me.
Loneliness consuming my entire being.
Darkness.
lost.
I broke into several shards of despair as you laughed at my pain.
You said we'd be forever,
But forever ended shortly.
The rain stained my face,
but the hole in my heart sucked all emotion dry.
Love has left me,
Left with you as you left me there without reason.
One month is all it took for me to fall,
Eight more months to pick myself up off the floor.
Silenced and unaware of the future.
Living second by second.
Just barely getting by.
I see you there,
Smiling and laughing.
I catch your eye,
I am whole again.
