The night is dark
A woman screams
Her daughter cries
The mother dies
The little girl runs
He catches her up
She can't get away
Despite all her tries
The man ends her
She lay there still
She is no more
On that red shore

The author's comments:
I was trying to find a way to use a poem with short thoughts to make people feel a little bit fearful.

Short, choppy, and succinct. It's like a brief scene from a movie, book, or tv show, and it definitely makes the reader wonder what happened. Good job!
