RUN, child SOLDIER, and keep on running
Run from the EVIL arms of your CAPTOR
Break the DEVIL'S embrace, time's ESCAPING
SAVE these CHILDREN from their horrid future

Now, the TIME has come, and the time is NOW
DON'T. Do not WAIT. Don't hesitate a day.
PROMISE of a WAR is exactly how
STAND as one. TOGETHER we'll find a way

Prevent the wasting of THESE little LIVES
They AREN'T meant to be left INVISIBLE
He who ARMED these CHILDREN with guns and knives
WILL soon PAY for his deeds, so horrible

KONY, now, IS the only one RUNNING
STOP, only AT absolutely NOTHING

The author's comments:
I watched the Kony 2012 video on youtube today and it really touched me. It is an overwhelmingly important issue. We need to band together as human beings to prevent this near repetition of the absolute most horrid events in the history of the world. This year Joseph Kony MUST BE CAUGHT, and to catch him, we have to make him FAMOUS.

I saw that video the other day... It was amazing, yet very sad. All those kids... we need to stop this, April 20th I am doing something. Anyone want to join?

yeah i know, but at least they are doing Something about it, better than nothing. Plus, they are getting it out there, which no one else had done, so even though its not much, if they werent making any attempt at all there would be zero progress. people should keep that in mind too when they are denouncing the movement

I really liked your poem and get the message that Kony should be stopped and that child soldiers are bad, but supporting the organization Invisible Children whose Kony 2012 video inspired you isn't necessarily a good thing. Only 33% of their profits go towards stoping Kony and they support military action which would result in the killing of more children. Here is an article I think you should check out.
