Going Away to College
The next thing I know, high school will end,
and sadly,
I'll part from all my friends.
We will cover the country from Jersey to Nevada,
Each studying away, to learn what we wanna.
Leaving this town, I have known so long,
before I thought I could, but now,
I am so lost.
As a little old freshman I couldn't wait to leave,
but now a senior I feel I can't leave.
I don't want to leave my dog named Comet,
and I don't want to leave my dad,
or my momma.
I don't want to leave my girlfriend either,
I will miss all the time we spent being together.
These are the things hardest to leave,
but I must go to college to learn all I see,
so one day I can come back a better man,
than current me.
