i wish i had somebody to love

i wish i had somebody to love
someone to hold me everyday
to tell me everything will be okay
to keep me out of the fray
there is no limit on what i would pay
i would give everything to that girl today
i feel like this is the only way
to keep me from going astray
someone to love me as they may
and to care for me anyway
i do not think i will find her today
so i will look away
and i hope i will find her someday
