Gravel under my feet
Crunch.
The sound being blocked out,
By the wind
Howling like a lost dog.
Rain splatters on my head
And soaks through my jeans.
I walk, hunched over
Hiding my face from the pelting rain.
My tears run my makeup.
I can blame the rain.
I feel alone,
Unwanted.
Orange light spills from the houses
Street lights illuminate the small droplets,
That pour from the sky.
Crunch.
The sound being blocked out,
By the wind
Howling like a lost dog.
Rain splatters on my head
And soaks through my jeans.
I walk, hunched over
Hiding my face from the pelting rain.
My tears run my makeup.
I can blame the rain.
I feel alone,
Unwanted.
Orange light spills from the houses
Street lights illuminate the small droplets,
That pour from the sky.
