Scooter
Scooter
My best friend,
My companion
My dog.
We were away
I can’t remember where.
When we got home
I was so excited to see my dog!
He was a Brittany.
I ran to his pen.
He looked like he was sleeping,
So I left him alone.
I walked down later,
He was still sleeping
I was starting to get worried.
“Daddy, I think something’s wrong with Scooter!”
My dad comes down to his pen.
He goes over to him and pets him,
Expecting him to jump up,
But he doesn’t move.
He drags him out and says, “I think he’s dead!”
