Keep laughing in the face
Of the grandfather clock.
Keep laughing through the window,
Your bark like a rock.
Keep laughing even if
They tar you stiff,
And feathers burn your nose:
The shattered wings,
Of all of those,
Whose dreams
Are indefinable.
