You know I’m in love with you.
I ask you, “Are you too?”
Look me straight in the eyes, then look away.
“Definitely not with you,” you say.
I crushed, destroyed- but who cares,
It was only my heart.
After a rather desperate try,
I saw we don’t see eye to eye.
In front of me you lean in for a kiss,
But not with me, I was sent off with a diss.
My tears that night could have flooded me- so?
It was only my heart.
When you know I cry at night.
And you’re my only light.
Why turn it off, let the glow fade away?
Make me feel happy, just one day.
Yet my dears still drips and my smile still frowns.
It doesn’t matter. It was only my heart.
When I saw the pain would never leave,
A new thought began to conceive.
Why let nature take it’s course?
And live a life full of remorse.
I held the gun up to my chest.
I pushed the trigger. Who cares, it was only my heart...
