Gazing up at the moon
On a star-lit night
A breeze comes by
My lips twitch into a smile

For I had told the moon
'If she is thinking of me,
Give me a sign'.
My grip on the railing tightens

The feeling grows
Though the wind is cold
I am warm
Inside me is the fire

The fire of your love
The warmth of your heart
The smiles you've shown me
Comfort me from afar

Oh how I used to ache
Unable to comprehend
Unable to deal with
Your absence

But in the end
My love turned into patience
And I came to accept it
We are apart, yet inseparable

I lay my hand against
The thudding in my chest
I think of all that you are
All I hope you to be

My eyes are closed
Tears slip out
The beauty of it all
Overcomes me

The moon's just one thing
But you are everything
I ever hoped for
And more

My cheeks shining
With salty tears,
I lift my head
And look into the sky

I locate the brightest star
I find you.
And know that somewhere out there
You feel a breeze
