Lightning flashes
Through the cloudy sky
As your angry words
Thunder at me repeatedly.

The lightning crashes
To the ground
As hard drops of rain
Fall endlessly from my eyes.

With shuttering, shaking breaths,
The wind blows away the storm
To reveal my broken heart,
Pouring out its every content,
Like fire, to the sky.

Broken hearted,
I am forever engulfed
In a land of shadows
