Me and what ive lost

I'm dark and scary to all but them
A little girl and a boy i once knew
I had once been side by side until I was took away
I use to be sweet and kind to all
but left alone for this long has hardened my heart beyond repair
I have thought not that would make a priest swear i would go to hell...but that's just it ... I've been their and back and now i live it every day ....because I wasn't right that day.
