The Queen Of Spades

Queen of Clubs,
makes first play,
Spreading luck,
Before the fray,
Number 10,
Up next in line,
Defeats his competitor,
Number 9.
That was close,
And now I wait,
Which one of them,
Has the queen of spades.
The hearts are broken,
I’m afraid.
Number 2,
I take the hand,
Number 5 is what I land,
They plotting against,
I can feel it,
Something is coming,
I felt, I sensed.
Little numbers,
Play after play,
Heart after heart,
I collect them all,
They don’t see it,
They shall fall.
The hearts all mine,
The queen’s still there,
But soon it shall be,
In my lair.
They’ve figured it out,
This is the end,
I’m going to lose,
Unless I bend.
They whisper for the queen,
The queen of spades,
I laugh inside,
Because I know,
I’ve stuck the blades,
It is I,
who bears the queen,
The queen of spades.
