The inner judge that takes its toll
The beautiful tyrant of us all
It plagues our thoughts and haunts our dreams
The one that lives and eats and breathes
It feeds off all your fantasies
Here's something for you to see
It's not as bad as it could be
yes, it kills your dreams at times
But it isn't always vicious lies

This is my first uploaded piece of work! It was the first one in my poetry book assignment earlier this year, and my theme was 'dreams'. I intend this to inspire people to follow their dreams, even if their inner cynic says they can't.
