I contend the basis that those things in which
We do not take pleasure in
Are of greater influence internally
Than those things we find unpleasant
That those we do not love
Are a greater loss than those
With whom we quarrel
The places we have never been
The people whom we've never met
The melodies we've never heard
And most of all
The books we've never read
Are a loss we do not brave to know
Nor should we ever want to
