meningitis

i once had an headache once
on a gray morn
near yuletide season
it was cold and i was in the school library
in sixth grade
(i had a headache)
i was scared
i turned to google
and Google said: meningitis
i was scared
i knew i hadn't long (only one day!)
so i lived
snook out of pe
made up a new word: snook
borrowed books i never bothered to read
decorated my locker
skateboarded
color my nails white
and the next morn
i woke up, (surprisingly
i was alive)
and the sky was blue
and remains to this day
the most Beautiful i ever saw
