I lay here
In honor for another
In honor for those who fought
Unknown remains unknown soldiers
I watch over a beautiful city
Still I’m unknown
But still I will protect
I rest in honored glory
“An American Soldier”
“Known but to God”
Risking my life
Every day
No family to see
Except on a holiday
Treating me with such respect
With such great honor
With such great intellect
With the rules to follow
I lay here
In honor for another
