"Don't give up without a fight"

Riding in the night
Racing with the wind
Illuminated by the moonlight
Owls screeching in the distance
Bats hunting juicy prey overhead
He is one with the night
His home sweet home is darkness
South bound and down

Feeling of weightlessness
Followed by pure excitement
Tipping
Down
Down

Down

Falling with intense speed
Soaring through the deathly cold air

He barely sees the bedrock below
Screams in fear for dear life

SMASH!!!!!

He plows into stone ground
Crying with no one to hear
Screaming in pain
Begs for God to save his soul
Yelling
For what seems like eternity

Throbbing pain in the head
Increasing by the second
Plain blunt unconscious numbness
Creeping up
Slowly taking over

Silence

Darkness

Death

One dead man's body

Beside a broken bicycle

This was an assignment for English class that became a good poem.
