This darkness came crashing over me,
Like tidal waves in an angry sea,
It bled me dry and devoured my soul,
There was only emptiness to recreate me whole
Like a bee buzzing in a plastic bubble,
I was slowly suffocating, pining for air, destined for trouble.
The world once so beautiful was shadowed over by a charcoal haze,
My mind twisted in knots seeking an exit from a complicated maze.
But one day candlelight struck in my eyes,
There was light, there was hope, overhead were starry skies.
This long dark journey had came to an end,
Things weren’t perfect but I was on the mend.
