A beautiful rose
One in a million
A beautiful baby blue
Sitting in the sun
Soaking up the warmth
And never letting go
Keeping it for
when it rains
and catching the rain when it falls
Its petals folding over
With the weight
It continues to hold on
But on it are thorns
To protect others
From the weight it bears
Scared to burden others
While it burdens itself
Hoping to show that it cares
Wanting the world
Too be happier
With its selfless grace
Hurting itself in the process
It pierces its delicate petals
Letting no one see the pain
But one day it will see
The pain it hides
Makes it truly beautiful
One day it will let the pain
Be held by another
Knowing the other does not mind
One day it will
Share the rain
And not just the sun
And then maybe one day
Its rain will be carried
By petals other than its own
