Nothing makes me happier
than to see your smiling face.
Even after all our struggles,
like a marathon; we lost the race.
At least I know you’re fine,
moved on with no thoughts at all.
Even though I think often
that she gets your goodnight call.
I miss being the girl you wanted,
the one to make you grin,
I wished you would have kept me,
you’re the trophy; I didn’t win.
