"Remember the Alamo!"
Rang through the towns,
Back on that memorable day.

Live or die was there vow!
As men fought for freedom,
Apart from dictators say.

They said goodbye to their wives and children,
Who held the memories close to their hearts,
Their loving memories vivid and gay.

Then fought as the sun crept up in the sky,
Many men though wounded fought on,
Others fell and die where they lay.

Nearly every person lay dead,
Shot by a rifle or pierced by the sword,
it didn't seem as though everything would be okay.

The men all died,
The women lived,
The children all broken to pieces that day.

Some still say to "Remember the Alamo",
Most have forgotten the brave men that died,
Though names live in memories to never decay.

There is one whom I know shall never forget,
He knows each mans heart and longs for them yet,
Shall he ever forget them? I say nay!

Remember The Alamo!
It lives on still,
Never to be forgotten in the hearts of the hurt and okay.
