Heaven must have seen
something savory
because the clouds can't stop
they won't stop
slobbering
and I am getting wet
but whatever heaven sees
has not gone away
because I am still wet

or maybe it isn't slobber
maybe heaven has run

a marathon mayhaps
and maybe the clouds
are dripping
with
well-deserved
sweat
and heaven hasn't stopped running
because I am still getting wet

what if heaven took a tumble
down to earth
(is that even possible)
and gravel clung
unremittingly
to heaven's knees
and now the clouds are bleeding
bleeding
transparent blood
(I hope heaven is okay)
but the blood-clotting mechanisms
of heaven's knees
must not be working
because I am here
and I am getting wet
and still wetter
and wetter
but that's okay
