Legally Inconspicuous

To them I'm a eejit, a creature of life.

No brain in my skull, no thought in my mind.

I'm teased with words, trying to recover at night.

Protected at home under a thick soft fabric,

Crying away tears, forgetting the remembered.

Make it stop, make it stop...... Make them feel my pain.

Why do they do it? Considering me blind.

They think I can't see, making faces, doing mean things.

Am I invisible? Can't they see I'm not Laughing along?

Can't they realize I'm slowly sinking in shame.

And yet they go on, not noticing me, how I feel what I do.

They don't care. To them I'm legally inconspicuous.

To them, I’m just..... Well....invisible.

So I stay hidden under my shield,

Only trying to be what others think I am.

I'm legally inconspicuous, a shadow nothing more.

I'm a child by law, but I'm an adult by thought.

To them I'm the target of their laughs, ignoring my emotions.

I'm a human, not a shadow. I demand an apology,

I demand the respect. But then again, I'm only fooling myself.

Ill just stay here. Wrapped in my cocoon. No one will care.

They will be busy, being themselves.

And that's what I'll do too, be my self.

because I am legally inconspicuous,

I don't deserve to be seen.

a lot of emotion and amazing use of emotive language, really relatable and wouldn't change a thing about it!
