I see the way you look at her
Sick to my stomach I can’t look away
I am drawn to this horrific scene
Which sets my mood to somber
What you don’t know
Is how much I would give to be her
How many tears I’ve cried
They could fill an ocean
If only you knew how strongly I thirst to tell you
It leaves a throbbing ache inside of me
If only I could remind you
Of those nights we stayed up talking
‘Til 4am
But the words are stuck inside my throat
So I must swallow them down
And learn to look past you
So that next time you look at her
I won’t even notice you’re there.
