Her eyes
So different from mine:
Gray and glazed over,
Confused and cloudy,
Empty. . .
Her brain
So different from mine.
Dark and murky,
Withered and lifeless.
Empty. . .
No thoughts, ideas, memories, nor knowledge.
She sees a face and searches for a name to match.
But her brain fails her eyes,
And she sees
Nothing.
