As long as you're happy
I'll hide my tears and broken heart.
I'll play nice when he's around,
And I won't make you feel uncomfortable
When you kiss.
If you ask me to leave the room
I'll step outside the house.
If you ask me to walk a mile
I'll walk two.
I'll wait in the rain,
Forever and a day,
For you.
I can be your teddy bear
To hold dear to your chest when he's not around.
And when he's here, I'll stay in the closet.
Out of sight,
Out of mind.
As long as you're happy.
His marks on your skin I'll ignore
Or admire,
Whatever you desire.
I don't care what he does,
What he wants,
What he says,
What he believes,
So long as I get to see you smile.
Because, maybe
Baby,
I'll smile too.
And one day, I hope you'll smile for me.
Because I love you.
