Summer
Summer
It’s a time filled with laughter and joy,
when all the children play with their outdoor toys.
The sun is smoldering hot,
and I’m scared because SPF 7 is all I’ve got.
It’s 97 degrees outside,
And my mom decided to take us for a drive.
We drove on until we reached the pool,
When I dove in it was refreshing and cool.
I always eat lots of pop-sickles and ice cream,
And take long naps with vivid, colorful dreams.
It was a great summer but it’s come to an end,
And now I get to go to school to see all my friends.
